Since having my first several seizures a I've realized that there are gaps in my memory of single events going back maybe 15 years. I'm very sad when my husband or friends are talking about an event from the past and then ask me if I remember: when we went there... what we did ... etc. Sometimes I recall SOME of the event after discussing and getting a few details about it.

Sounds like your memory is doing it's job!
Epilepsy research funds from the US government is minimal percentage-wise compared to other medical conditions, e.g. multiple sclerosis. If epilepsy research labs had more $$ I believe you, me and all others on this team would be able to lead a normal life. I have empathy for you with the extent of memory issues. My best.
I have bad memory gaps but it started happening after my v.n.s. surgers.
