@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , t takes awhile to learn and cope with Epilepsy. N fact you will be learning many thing about Epilepsy fr the rest of your life.
I understand what it's like to have a seizure, and see myself and others having seizures. When I was younger, in the 70s and 80s. I was very self conscious about if or when I would have a seizure. What would others think about me. I mean even though I was having a seizure I could still hear what they were saying. After finding the right friends that didn't care if I had epilepsy or not. It got so much easier. They helped me realize that epilepsy didn't have to define me. Yes I have seen many individuals experiencing different kinds of seizures. I now help teachers in our public school system recognize what different seizures look like across the spectrum. I work part time as a transitional substitute teacher.
Never be ashamed of having a seizure. It is something that you can't control. Asking for store video footage is a great idea. I would want to know for myself, what triggered the seizure so I can possibly prevent another one from happening for the same reason.
Yes we are 🙏
