Has Anyone Had Success With Eastern Medicine Or Alternative Therapies?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm on a mass amount of medicine. I take my pills. I also take epidiolex which is basically concentrated CBD. I have a VNS which I've had since June 2017. I tell my doctor about every seizure and sometimes medicine gets upped but I have so many different types *grand-mal, abnormal absence, atonic. I'm just looking for something else, because I'm having them more frequently. I hate missing work. I need to provide for my family. Any ideas are appreciated.

I practice yoga and meditation alongside taking CBD oils and teas, B6 B12, vit D, vit k, Zinc suppliments and liquid metal tonics. I also take Ashwaghnada and adrenal cortisol suppliments to help stabilise my moods from medication side affects. All have great effects on my nervous system.

The best success ive had is with distraction techniques. I jump to a song in my head and if I'm in time it stops the seizure.i once went 3 months seizure Free. Music stimulates a different part of the brain.
Another big help is magnesium supplements. Magnesium hasn't stopped seizures but a good reduction in severity.
