I can almost time the recovery time for my seizures by the decades of my life! In my 20's I could take 10-15 minutes rest, get up and go back to work in my classroom as a 6th-grade teacher. In my 30's, the recovery time got longer, up to 30 minutes after the birth of my second daughter. You guessed it, 40-50 minutes in my 40's. By the time I was in my 50's, recovery time was too long to continue teaching without someone else to take over my classroom so I had to retire on disability.
