So maybe those 2 incidents, one 40+yrs ago and one 50+yrs ago, may possibly be the culprit of your diagnosis. But the Epilepsy didn’t didn’t show itself until you were actually diagnosed.
Thank you for answering me
I was 50 evonne! A doctor had the audacity to tell me it was how I lived my life up to that point! Out drinking when I was a young man!! Why doesn’t everyone have it then? I don’t believe I was different to any late teens to early 20s guy!! I can’t fathom why it comes on in later life evonne!!
I was 58. Took 4 years to diagnose. I still believe it’s hormonal for me. I am followed by Mayo and they have no real answers. I’m refractory (drug resistant). Just woke up with it one day. 🤷♀️
No Randy not a particularly heavy drinker ! I was knocked out twice in my life! Once at school when a strip light fell from the ceiling some 40 ft high 50+ years ago and the other was when I was a solitary police officer driving alone into a massive street brawl where I was knocked out with my head and ribs being used as a football !! The medics 40 years ago after x-rays , which I think was the only diagnostic tool at there disposal here in the wilds of Caledonia!! But all of the scans ct and mri seemed clear so I’m no further forward mate🤔
