Cannabis And Anti Seizure Medication
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hey is anyoje using cannabis and still other pharmaceutical anti seizure meds? Or are those using cannabis using only cannabis? If so how is it going, any ijteractions? Theres a part of me that wants to ask my dr to see if can start using cannabis to treat my seizures instead of my other meds, cause i want to just be on one thing that works not three or four to make it work.

i take keppra and phenbarbital and cbd... so yes it can be done. the problem... i got used to the 2 meds right before i took the cbd oil. the meds are on a low dose that it really didnt effect that much.
i also am on a high fat/low carb diet called keto. that and i do hippy/voodoo stuff (alternative meds like vitamins and excersise and yoga/meditation/deep breathing).
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member question... what state do you live? i say this cause my state is the 'no thc of any kind' weed law.
anyway if the meds are too much for you... research... research... research. research your weed laws... research if brand names... research what your drs has to say about it and why/why not.

My Neurologist said she would prescribe it to me. But, she told me it hasn't helped one patient she prescribed it too. It is legal now in Michigan anyway!

I asked for it from my neurologist before it became legal here in Michigan. She was willing to give me a prescription for it. She did tell me that every time she gave someone a prescription for it, it hasn't helped not one patient of hers!
