* It lasted an entire day. From the time I woke up until I went to bed at night. Usually about 13-16 hours. Was always fine the next day
* I was always conscious.
* Never extra tired.
* No twitches. No pain or even physical discomfort of any kind.

I wonder if it might be medication related? You don’t mention whether or not you are on any medication, so a review could be needed.

Generalised Convulsion? Does This Mean I Don’t Have TLE?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi all,

I’m a bit confused (as always lol) So my neurologist has sent my clinic letter and stated that I have epilepsy with focal seizures and generalised convulsions. I know my EEG identifies my focal seizure started in my temporal lobe and I was diagnosed with TLE but doesn’t generalised mean all over the brain.
Thanks in advance.

Seizures During EEG
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello, my neurologist did an EEG on me on 3 different occasions for a different reason. In all 3 occasions I was told there was abnormal sharp waves that represent Epilepsy. I've never had any sort of seizures before.

The reason I started seeing a neurologist was memory issues, imbalance, weakness, and fainting spells. Are these considered seizures?

Also, for a while now, I have hallucinations during first stages of sleep, like right while drifting to sleep. I can also feel myself fainting… read more

Sounds like epilepsy and seizures. However it could also be side effects of the medicine. I experienced those exact symptoms when on kepra, changed medicines and helped with majority of those… read more

How Would A Focal To Generalized Seizure Play Out If It Was All Over With In 30 Seconds?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hey everyone
Has anyone ever had a Generalized seizure that was so quick and subtle you can only tell it's generalized via EEG? I had two small seizures picked up on a 3-day video EEG. It turns out that this is most likely what happened to me during the last time I did this. I'm just trying to work out how a generalized seizure would present if it is very quick? And I mean 30 seconds min.

EDIT: I ended up looking over everything and researching how focal seizures work as that's my official… read more

Does Anyone Else Have Generalized Epilepsy? If So, In The Case Medications Aren't Working What Are Other Options?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have noticed some people have some sort of focal epilepsy where they know where their seizures are coming from (a part of the brain). In the case of focal seizures you can have surgery, but usually in generalized epilepsy I haven't heard of a surgery that works yet.

Does Anyone Use A Seizure Tracker App?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have been trying to use My Seizure Diary from epilepsy foundation but finding it difficult to get set up. I just want a systematic way to keep track of my son's seizures. For the last 8 months or so I have just been keeping a log in my notes but would love to view it on a calendar etc and have a way to compare severity and possible triggers etc....

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member

You can also get a voice recorder, and clip it to your keys, or your phone case. That makes it possible to talk during the seizure or record even while you are assisting, and it would time it for you… read more
