Unable To Drive After A Seizure
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question šŸ’

After you have a seizure and you are unable to drive what are your options for getting around? My new job is just under 25 minutes away. Previously when I was unable to drive I worked from home. This week I had rides. Is there a service out there other than Uber? I looked up Uber and it cost around $30 one way.

Thanks,
Tyler

I wouldn't think that way, it's not very smart, trust me after I crashed two bmw's and lost 4 jobs then loosing my marriage and my house It took me years to take on epilepsy, finally after almost taking my own life I started listening to my doctors completely with my medication and lifestyle changes my life turned around, I am not cured but my seizures are controlled nicely, don't think about anyone but yourself and getting to the neurologist.

Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend driving at all, I crashed three cars and after the last crash coming out of my seizure looking down in the ditch I flipped the car, I hung up the keys, stay seizure free for 6 months before putting any body's life at risk, I had to apply for social security disability and finally got it after a long battle with them.

Depending on where you are there may be buses for people with disabilities, which epilepsy technically is. Epilepsy isnt covered for my state but maybe for yours?
