I have had 3 brain surgeries. My memory is better than before and I have been seizure free since my last one 2 1/2 years ago!!!

So you will have to learn how to accept the fact you have seizures and they can be controlled but its going to take a lot of effort on your part to make it work.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member ever since I had my vns put in, my seizures cut down to every 3-4 years. It was cheaper than head surgery and much better with less seizures. For after the head surgery, I was still having around 6 seizures a year.

The first thing I tell people we are all different. What works for one may not work for others. I was one of the lucky one. I became seizure free since I had the surgery. I went through a years worth of tests and procedures to see if I qualified for the surgery. Than she told me that I had 76% chance that it would work. The main thing is to make sure you have a good doctor

I had head surgery in 1987. 1 side affect after that was not allowed to take a bath for 6 weeks. So got stuck having 4 different female nurses come by 2 x daily to body wash me. But I di still have seizures just not as many.
