I was on keppra for 3 years. The depression got so out of hand. 750mgs keppra x3 daily (1 in the morning. x2 at night). I quit a couple months ago cuz depression and fatigue was so bad. Seizures practically every night since so Im going back on, but am now considering antidepressants... Though more medicine is not necessarily my personal preference. Any advice?
I would recommend trying a different seizure medication. Keppra also made my depression very bad for years. Lamotragine is a seizure medication as well as a mood stabilizer. Maybe talk to your doctor about trying thatif its a good option for you. Different medications work for different types of epilepsy but your doctor should be able to help you find an alternative
Ask them why are they doing that if that medicine work for you. They shouldn't mess with it at all special if Keppra work with you on. Ask your neurologist why are they try to wean you off the medicine. Find out what are they doing with you. If you are start to have seizure again need to tell them.
I am on 1 gram tablets of keppra I take 2 in the morning and 2 at night, my consultant added clonazapan I only take 100 micro grams at night cause I couldn’t sleep and would be awake for most of the night, I know it’s not an anti-depressant I just it thought it might or could help with the fatigue?
i take vitamin 'milk thistle' and 'turmeric'. keppra destroys the liver. milk thistle boost the liver. turmeric boost hidden and unwanted viruses.
Tomapax is good for depression .Just try that see how that goes.
