What is the longest time anyone has gone between seizures and what do you think helped?
I am currently 2 yrs, 3 mos and 12 days seizure free. I think the meds are stopping the seizures, but I’ve also reduced the stress in my life and that may be helping too.
I had my first seizure June 25'17..Second July 27th.. Had a few in Sept. Increase in keppra and i am 6mths seizure free so far. I gave up alcohol also and plenty of sleep.
I am 6+ years seizure free (on medication). I have been very fortunate to find a medication that works for me. Epilepsy is a condition I live with but it certainly doesn't define me. I take care to get reasonable amount of sleep, ensure I take my medication and question the doctor if they recommend a treatment for whatever I am seeing them about.
Well when I have a seizures thankfully i try my hardest to control my self & I can , I put my tv on and just thats what make me so entertain and slowly my seizures start to feel like they are going becuz i am watching tv and i ‘m controling my bofy from hitting anything so I stay on my bed , But if you ask how long have i no had one maybe like 2 or 3 years
It depends on the type of seizure. Regarding tonic-clonic/grande mal seizures, I haven't had one since 1998. I have photosensitive epilepsy and that never goes away (I just avoid triggers). I haven't had an absence seizure since 2016. I still get myoclonic jerks relatively frequently (more than weekly) and auras about once a week at least. My auras precede seizures, but as I don't have tonic-clonics anymore I end up with a massive migraine from it instead.
