Time Between Episodes.
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was diagnosed with febrile seizures (fever) when I was a child (13 m. o. to 7 y. o.). About a month ago, I was told that a seizure caused my work place accident. I have thought of other things that could cause like fainting or blacking out. I even discussed it with the neurologist. He says he 90% sure the seizure caused me to blackout, hit my head, and fracture my lower jaw.

Has anyone else had this long of period between episodes? I feel, within the last ~four weeks that I am losing my mind… read more

I had epilepsy from 5 after lack of oxygen to the brain in a gas accident. Wasnt diagnosed till 11 when i began taking full grand mal seizures. i always had a 'warning' before i seized. They wer quite regular unti i turned 20 years old. Then i had about 20 years of approx 1 seizure every 4 years during my sleep. Then last year i took a seizure without warning and i hit my jaw and head on radiator and tiled floor. Severe concussion for 5 months. Was awful. My memory has been affected as my short term is terrible. Though my main concern is that my seizures have started again after such a long time and now they are happening during day with no warning. Hope my experiences help in some way.
