Does Anyone Else Hear People Around You Talking While Waking From A Seizure?
After a seizure and I'm near the end of the postictal state, I begin hearing the people around me talking. It's usually things like, are you okay, can you hear me, squeeze my hand, those kinds of things. Yesterday while I was still in the hospital and I was really starting to wake up and understand things, I heard one of the nurses ask another nurse if they should stay with me until I woke up. Sad thing is I can hear EVERYTHING during a seizure just can't respond sometimes except blink 1 time for yes, 2 for no.
I do. It's frustrating because I can understand them but can't talk for about 10 minutes
I can here people talking when I am coming out of one. It's like I've been in some weird dream or like I feel when I'm waking up from some operation I've had. You can hear people talking before you become totally aware.
And the thing is, you know what's going on although the people around you don't think so. It's like people being in coma- they've reported hearing voices after waking up. Not sure if this is a good comparison but that's how I see it
I experience this too- it's frustrating because the people around you are just staring, like they've never seen anything like it before. And I know me being in the hospital days on end is hard for my family. After going into status, ending in the postical state, I heard my dad say, "I just want to go home." I always feel guilty, like it's my fault this happens. But yeah it's like really scary and embarrassing
