Temporal Lobe Epilepsy

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Do any of you have Temporal Lobe Epilepsy and if you do do you have auditory(hearing voices) hallucinations or visual hallucinations? I had a psychological breakdown two years ago and ever since than I've heard voices and sometimes visual hallucinations. I need to find out if this supernatural phenomenon or experience or something else is going with my brain. I've done a lot of research and it scares me to death. I need to know what I'm dealing with.

With continued side effects of a particular medication or interaction of different medications, please discuss it with the medical professionals who are prescribing it or them. You may need to mention it to another, like pharmacist or therapist. The aura of visual or scent hallucinations are of value to me in preparation for the actual seizure. Unlike you mention, memory of them, is quite difficult after a seizure for me.

Visual and auditory hallucinations are auras for me. Left front and temporal area is where damage to the brain took place 35 years ago. The medications or interaction of them have also created these with suicidal mental images added to it. PatrickRhody you may wish to seek professional help in uncovering what is taking place in you. May God be with you 😊 in understanding it.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member yes these were my experiences.i was involved in a small trial for Keppra a long time ago but I wasn't keen. But it is a popular drug and lots of people find none of the weird and awful side effects I experienced. Ace for them 😍😍

Charkbite, I'm still on Keppra for the time being and for the last two years it's made me feel like someone has hijacked my brain and I had totally lost my grip on reality!
