Does Any One Have Problems With Seizures And Migraines?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I had a bad, throbbing headache on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. It was so bad my husband ended up taking me taking me to the ER. I couldn't open my eyes because the light hurt so bad, or move my head because that made me so sick. Every noise made me feel like I was going to die. I was also having my lovely complex partial seizures, yay, oh, yay :( and my husband thought maybe I was having a stroke or something, lol. Well, I guess it's really not that funny. Anyway, at the ER, the doctor… read more

I have had them so bad that the only way to keep the light from getting in wore a headband folded bandanna (over my eyes), then I had these Glasses ( the ones the Dr gives you when they dialate them) I put them on and that still is not enough at times. I have the house to every thing is in a place, so that if I'm "blinded" I can find things. I hope that it has been time enough between meds for the epilepsy ( or I'm up a creek) to take my meds. If I don't take them in time Well off to the ER. So yep your not alone, We just find a way to deal, just like seizures we cope.

Probably not the cause, but next time you have an MRI, Ask your doctor to order a 3D MRI to look at spacing. Reason: It was Just by chance that we found an anticonvulsant medication caused my skull to thicken in, more than 3/4 inch. Sudden, fall to the floor, Aches were caused by squeezing, due to loss of space. To calm the pain, i would hold my head and try to shift my skull (First time ever sceen at the UCLA Neurology Center). Dont mean to scare you, but it would be better to cross that off the list of possible causes.

Thanks @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I was just diagnosed today with cluster headaches and not migraines. They are so painful and my neurologist just prescribed some new meds that I haven't even had time to go get from the pharmacy yet. I'll be getting them first thing in the morning. I hope they work!

I have both,I can empathize with you.I actually stand in a hot shower(my husband comes in and checks on me) dim the lights in the bathroom ,or sit on the shower floor and let the water run over your head,Sometimes an ice pack on the base of your neck helps as well.A heating pad helps too.
