Has Any One With A VNS Felt Their Throat Hurting While Breathing And Swallowing.
When Im breathing my throat hurts a little since its hard to breathe an Im not sure if its cause Im getting a cold or its just cause my VNS battery does that. Has anyone experienced that?
The strength of the pulse is usually measured in quarter decimals. (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators), etc. My new one is set at 1.25 currently. The time between them is usually 5 minutes, 3 minutes, 2 minutes. The shorter the time intervals then begin to different some like 1.8 minutes, and 1.1 minutes, etc. I was half out of it when my new one was turned on in the recovery room, so I don't remember the time intervals. I just remember the strength of the pulse it was set at.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I guess it is easier for some people to adjust to the higher settings than others. Coming down with a cold probably adds to the severity of it.
VNS can be a factor of causing sleep apnea.
Yes sometimes. I like Mike find drinking whatever I have close by helps.
It's hard to swallow sometimes when the settings are high. It usually eases up when I take a drink of whatever I have at the time. I have to get a CPAP because it can effect your breathing sometimes.
