Seizures In Public?

Seizures In Public?

Has anyone had a seizure in public? I have had them and am so embarrassed because I was an appointment for a meeting and had one. Not only did the person I was with see it but she got the entire office and EMS. I know I shouldn't be embarrassed but I hate being out in public whrlej I have one. How do you guys handle that?. I'm really embarrassed.

Try not to be embarrassed because you can't help what comes about. Plus your boyfriend is right. It took me a while but I didn't let it bother me because it can cause more problems by thinking about it. My husband kept telling me the same as your boyfriend tells you. I took classes and am now a registered caregiver and am certified also people with Alzheimer's etc.

Yes! I always feel so embarrassed too. My boyfriend tells me not to be but it doesn't change my feelings. Sometimes I have panic attacks before my seizures because I know something is wrong and I freak out. It makes it even more embarrassing.

I had become accustomed to possibly having seizures in public. I use to have them all the time while in high school.. Talking about embarrassing.. But I came to learn that my episode's was nothing to be ashamed of.. it was something I couldn't control and it was a medical condition I had.. True it made other's aware of how to handle someone with epilepsy and what to do if someone has one.. by all my episode's everyone learned about seizures, what to do in case of one.. Hold your head up high..

YES LAWD! I've had them sooooo many times in public. In the supermarket, in a restaurant, on public transportation, and many times during church services. The people at my church know how to deal with them now. The other places? It's been so embarrassing. However, you just have to take 1 for the team and don't let it slow you down.
