I’m only in my 30s but I’m exhausted with the seizures. And some happen on nearly the same day/wk every month. For 2 weeks I am somewhat seizure free and appear like a perfectly healthy woman. But then the last week of the month arrives and I am roiling in cluster seizures. I never complained about PMS until I learned it causes those nasty hormonal seizures. Now menopause couldn’t come any sooner…

Some have used an IUD or other method of keeping hormone levels level, throughout the month. Good luck! Ask your OB!

I have recently come across catamenial epilepsy and it seems to be the one I have..Since October I've started clobazam whilst on my period,I was having auras every month and since starting this I've had none 😀 also I have the implant which also helps control seizure x x

Hold on. Seizure and menopause. Don't be in a hurry. Trust me. Menopause will come too soon
