yes... depression is one of the common side effect of seizure meds. i have 2 small meds (lowest you can go) and i have anxity and depression. cbd helps (both calms me down and stop having seizures).
I have been taking phenytoin for 56 years, one major side effect it has on your gums and teeth, making them come loose then have them out, I want to let anyone who has a denture made in the UK can claim on household contents insurance to pay for them, I did twice and it saved me £8 thousands pounds plus I'm doing it again.
Hi, LesleyDonnelly, when I first started taking phenytoin 56 years ago my dosage was 600mg a day, now I only take 300mg a day with one other AED, what is your dosage?

I’m only in my 30s but I’m exhausted with the seizures. And some happen on nearly the same day/wk every month. For 2 weeks I am somewhat seizure free and appear like a perfectly healthy woman. But then the last week of the month arrives and I am roiling in cluster seizures. I never complained about PMS until I learned it causes those nasty hormonal seizures. I am testing all week and have to be on sleep deprivation 6pm to 6am. Got to the hospital today at 8am. Wife awake. Will they wake you up or a beeper go off? if you fall asleep. I know they will be watching.
Cheryl, i had the all night deprivation test last year. I would not overly stress about the deprivation. Do the best you can and have someone help you stay up.

Have you checked to see if your seizure meds side effects may have started Tinnitus?
I have three different types of seizures. The one that scares me the most are my absent seizures because I do things I don't know I'm doing and can't feel the pain when I hurt myself till after I come out of it. I put both hands on the burners of the stove and had to go to the burn clinic for three weeks. last year I put my arm in a skillet burnt myself so bad I spent 8 days in the hospital and had a skin graph done. it's still amazes me that I can hurt myself so bad like that and not yell out… read more
I use to get an aura or odd feeling before a seizure but now I get nothing. I really wish I had my life like it was before I had my brain tumor and all these seizures after that
I also have two sons without epilepsy. I think it is because my seizures are not hereditary. I am glad and happy to for whatever reason. Also these were not planned childbirths.
Don't know. But I hate mice of any kind. It might not trigger a seizure, but I will move out of the room until it is caught. Stress of any kind can cause my seizures.
