A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was diagnosed with Epilepsy in 2012/2013. I have been seizure free since then on Keppra. I have since been diagnosed with Lyme Disease, Mold/Mycotoxins disease, and, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I am searching for answers to see if anyone else has run into information about the correlation of these disease. Thanks

I nearly died from Bartonella when I was six, epilepsy started at 12. I was recently diagnosed with Lyme and Ricksetiia and have found multiple studies mentioning strong correlations between tick borne diseased and epilepsy. I am currently undergoing treatment for them and very curious to see if my epilepsy will go away. Difficulty is going to be how to figure that out! I don't want to just go off my meds!

These tick borne illnesses can cross the blood brain barrier...I spoke to the author of a bartonella epilepsy paper and he said it was very possible that the Bartonella survived treatment and lasted 54 years in my body. My boss's wife was diagnosed by with multiple schlerosis before they found out she had Lyme. She's fine now

I have sense found out I have EBV and just recovering from kidney cancer. I lost my right kidney. Talking with my mold Dr she said that mold/mycotoxins could have contributed to it. Immune system is the key to fighting all of these from what I have read and seen.

Hey Jon!
I'm a moroccan from Canada who was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2013 and started to have a long range of chronic symptoms both common to lyme disease and long covid since. I was not diagnosed afterwhile as I don't have access to doctors but there is no doubt I have chonic fatigue syndrome and mold disease and there is a good chance I have lyme disease. Fact is, it seems that the main correlation between this is that we have a weak immune system. It might be that lyme disease is the main cause of all of the other syndromes we are experimenting including epilpesy as there is a type of neurological lyme disease that include seizure and fatigue as symptoms. Because of that, I searched for the most holistic treatment that is regenerating the whole immune system and I'm sure that this might the best treatment in the world for both you and me: This is the embryonic stem cells treatment by Stemaid clinic in Mexico. I'm actually fundraising to go there. Please look at there testimonials about lyme disease patients with severe conditions who got cured. I spoke to two of them and it seems amazing. Here is the link

May Allah cure you
Wishing you the best
Your brother Sami

Hey Jon, what did you do to address the Lyme disease?
I had my first seizure a few months ago and just found out I'm positive for lyme.
Thx
K
