I no longer have these, but it used to be a common occurrence. I know there are many, many types of seizures but have never found one that fits what used to happen to me. Can anyone tell me what this is??
* It lasted an entire day. From the time I woke up until I went to bed at night. Usually about 13-16 hours. Was always fine the next day
* I was always conscious.
* Never extra tired.
* No twitches. No pain or even physical discomfort of any kind.
* Most people didn't know anything… read more
I wonder if it might be medication related? You don’t mention whether or not you are on any medication, so a review could be needed.
every once in a while my seizures will get out of control and I will need a med change, However before that happens when they are all out of wack. I would be having like 5 in a row, in between the seizures according to people that are witnesses, I would not be very responsive or if I am, I don't make sense and am out of it, which is not too far out of the normal for a seizure. and then after the last one, I will come out of it, I will be tired, and be in a postictle state for a short period of… read more

Hi. I am a 36 year old male diagnosed at 14, probably active since I was 5 (auras, sleepwalking ect) when I met my wife my Nerologist had dumped me because I was too hard of a case and due to my nocturnal seizures (and amnesia) i thought I was fine. My nurse wife soon informed me I was not and we got a new nerologist (things have beenuch better after some proper drs, a lobectomy and some medication additions and changes) It was not uncommon for my night walking adventures to end in a lovey dovey… read more

I usually feel my seizures coming but I have not felt none of these coming I was standing up last night helping my husband and had one luckily he was right there or I would have fell. And if it wasn't for my dog I wouldn't have known to lay down for any of the others I don't know it's caused the uprise in my seizures or for me not to be able to feel these ones any advice on what's going on on what's going on or why so many? Is it normal to have spurts like this?
I've just explored the site a little more. I came across the epilepsy association medication list and found diazepam rectal gel listed but no intranasal midazolam?? I realise the majority of people here aren't Australians, so perhaps it's something not used often overseas
I still occasionally have a very large grand mal that requires medication to bring me around, but I was put onto using intranasal midazolam years ago
Prior to the midazolam all my partner could use during a large grand mal… read more
