Every couple of years I have seizures then my Dr wants to try something new or ups the dosage. The meds I'm on now are making me dizzy and off balance

Those with epilepsy that had children what was your experience like? Did you have to be off your meds? Was it scary? I know I still have lots of time to worry and decide if I even want a family and Ik I can have the conversation with my doctor when the time comes but share your stories

I was told I have Grand Mal and other Seizure Disorders one of them called Pseudoseizures . Anyone else ever hear of this? I'm told it's hard to diagnose and often gone undiagnosed or is missed. My family and I was just grasping the Grand Mal Seizures now there's more to try and sort thru?
I agree especially with MarKC - thanks for reminding me of ' non epileptic seizures' I've also heard of them being called ' pseudoseizures' too
Hi all. To those using Tegretol. Did your memory worsen after you started to use it? I am on 200mg am and 400mg pm. Thanks.
I've been on this for 24 years I had my last increase a few months ago so now the dosage is getting very high.
I love listening to music and i have a few songs i listen to when it's a bad day. I'm looking for some newer ones if anyone has one.

So I'm going back to college. I start on August 11th. Here's my deal though. I've been in and out of college since I graduated in 2009 because of Epilepsy problems. I've gone to college three other times already. Also for three different things. Should have stayed with the same track I know but I'm indecisive and I get bored easily. Has anyone had side effects with certain foods, with your medications. Cause ever since I started taken lamitical I cant eat any of the spanish beans I used eat. Which is weird. It used to be fine when I ate spanish beans with rice but ever since I started taken lamitical for my seizures is that a side effect or no?
I'm on that but I'm just getting immune to every medicine 😢 I wouldn't take Felbamate
I had the surgery when I was 42. Most of the memories, I was left with, are from when I was a kid.

The first seizure was at school surrounded by a few friends (all about 13), cared for by teacher and school nurses. Second was at home with my husband and my Mum.
My heart just broke for my son watching his seizure. Ive been waking up early mornings crying with seizure flashbacks (our first time ever witnessing one), or this morning its anxiety. In all honesty, I am worried and scared, and just want to know we’re not alone (even though i know we aaren’t) - does that make sense?
