Depends on what type of epilepsy diagnosed as from an EEG. When lights flashing if change in brain waves occur Dr will tell you. Certainly not for all seizure types.
What types of aura do you get before a seizure? What type of epilepsy do you get auras from?
I get a stomach aura in coples partial seizures, but sometimes I'm fully conscious.

TC seizures are of higher risk of doing damage especially if there pro longed.

I at one time was told I had grand mal, then went to petite mal now I'm told I have generalized primary seizures. I tend to not understand how this is possible and wonder could doctors misinformed me or is it actually possible for the diagnosis to continuously changed and why/how does this happen. what causes this?
Yes the seizures can change. Mine did from absent to complex to complex and fall.
