Were there any side effects relating to birth defects with that specific medication?
My husband and I are trying to get pregnant within the next couple years and it's clear that I need to take an anticonvulsant. I would rather take a medication that has side effects for me than for my future child.

My daughters has myoclonic juvenil epilepsy, last year she had a total of 3 seizures , on February will be the junior trip to bush gardens, she should go? She enjoy the roller coasters, we have gone to the parks and we have never had any problem, but I don't know if it's fine to let her go, because I will not be there with her, she is very excited about to go to the trip with her friends.
I have grand mal seizures Myoclonic seizures but my neurologist and I have gone through every test in the book to find where the seizures misfire in my brain. We can not find it, no where? Any ideas?

I am 100% positive that hormones are playing a huge factor in both the frequency and intensity of my seizures but I’m not sure where to start to address it. If anyone has any suggestions, PLEASE let me know!

I’ve had epilepsy since the age of 2. I’m now close to 50 yrs. Of age
I have heard in the past from several friends who have tried many others including surgery, implants or non-medication alternative methods. However, I think it would help if those of you who have to share your experience with those are now at the point where they have been told that medication will never allow them to reach a long-term seizure free state.
