Hi, I am going to have a frontal temporal lobectomy on my non dominant side, next month, i have no idea what to expect afterward except for the generic stuff that the doctors have told me. I am curious about memory, mood swings, depression risks, thought process, Etc. I have never talked with anybody who has had anything like this done. Those of you have experienced it, Can you give me any information?

For those who have had brain surgery, specifically a craniotomy, what mental side effects did you have after the surgery? Do you feel if it affected your mood, causing or contributing to depression, anxiety or paranoia? Please share your experiences with this. Thank you!

Is it possible to have a 2nd temporal lobectomy?
I was told that since seizures occur in the left temporal lobe, surgery is not an option, as it could make my memory problem worse.
My main surgery was 3/07/1991. It took very close
to 8hrs long.
In January I am scheduled to have a temporal lobectomy on my right hand side I was wondering who all has had this procedure done before and how it went

I have the option to be evaluated for a clinical trial. They would inject brain cells into my hippocampus. I would have to be on immunosuppressive medications for a year after. All three options are scary. But patching with stem cells seems like it might be the most rewarding.
How many days after a seizure does your mouth return to tasting food. Everything at the moment taste sour
