Every couple of years I have seizures then my Dr wants to try something new or ups the dosage. The meds I'm on now are making me dizzy and off balance

I'm going to have the RNS implant in March. And all I want to know is has anyone else had it done and dose it work . I go in March to Vanderbilt medical center in Nashville Tennessee.
If you read my profile I posted what happened to me and how things worked out.
The most important thing to tell you is you may need an adjustment in medication. This may not work for you but it may and you must talk to your doctor about it.
When i was young i failed in school no matter how hard i tried. At about 20 i had a seizure. When i went to the doctor he prescripted Dilantin to me. It made me sick and dizzy every time I took it so I wouldn't take it.
I went to the doctor and… read more

I was told I have Grand Mal and other Seizure Disorders one of them called Pseudoseizures . Anyone else ever hear of this? I'm told it's hard to diagnose and often gone undiagnosed or is missed. My family and I was just grasping the Grand Mal Seizures now there's more to try and sort thru?
I agree especially with MarKC - thanks for reminding me of ' non epileptic seizures' I've also heard of them being called ' pseudoseizures' too
There are 2 possibilities

I was reviewing my sleep log (started keeping one July 13, 2018). I haven’t been to bed before midnight. A couple of nights I went to bed at midnight but more often it is between 2am-5am. I don’t have a consistent sleep pattern. Some nights it’s 4 hours, some nights it’s 10 hours. Regardless of how many hours I sleep, I feel wiped out when I wake up.
What is your experience like?
I'm flakey as far as my sleep schedule. It's regular, but off hours. Unless I'm involved in physical activity, by 9:00 pm I can't stay awake. If I go to sleep, I'm up by 4:00 am, wide awake. I keep… read more
So I'm going back to college. I start on August 11th. Here's my deal though. I've been in and out of college since I graduated in 2009 because of Epilepsy problems. I've gone to college three other times already. Also for three different things. Should have stayed with the same track I know but I'm indecisive and I get bored easily. First time I was at the community college, I was there for my AA but I had just found out that I had Epilepsy. My GPA started dropping near the end of a year and a… read more

It used to be fine when I ate spanish beans with rice but ever since I started taken lamitical for my seizures is that a side effect or no?
I'm on that but I'm just getting immune to every medicine 😢 I wouldn't take Felbamate
I take 12 pills a day and unfortunately without them I will have a seizure,I was wondering if anyone had been able to get away from the pills with a alternate medication.....doesn’t help that I live in GA
