Every couple of years I have seizures then my Dr wants to try something new or ups the dosage. The meds I'm on now are making me dizzy and off balance
Will it set off with excessive motion.
I have heard of this but I am afraid to shell out the money only ro have it not work. I'm waiting for it to be out a little longer so I can hear how well it works. If it works well, I would be more… read more
Isn't epilepsy a seizure disorder, or only seizures originating in the brain. I been told I don't have epilepsy as my brain does not show any abnormal activity. But I do have seizures or some seizure like nerulogic event. Can EEG see all brain activities? I do suffer from PTSD, anxiety, and chronic pain, but I also have peripheral neuropathy, carpal tunnel in both wrist, along with daily seizures. So am I Epiletic or not......seems to me that medical science is just scratching the surface… read more

I was told I have Grand Mal and other Seizure Disorders one of them called Pseudoseizures . Anyone else ever hear of this? I'm told it's hard to diagnose and often gone undiagnosed or is missed. My family and I was just grasping the Grand Mal Seizures now there's more to try and sort thru?
I agree especially with MarKC - thanks for reminding me of ' non epileptic seizures' I've also heard of them being called ' pseudoseizures' too
So I'm going back to college. I start on August 11th. Here's my deal though. I've been in and out of college since I graduated in 2009 because of Epilepsy problems. I've gone to college three other times already. Also for three different things. Should have stayed with the same track I know but I'm indecisive and I get bored easily. First time I was at the community college, I was there for my AA but I had just found out that I had Epilepsy. My GPA started dropping near the end of a year and a… read more

Has anyone taken [[treatment:keppra:5508b44d6bcd6155dd0008e5]] and [[treatment:vimpat:5526c9df1fcaa3c8cb000399]] during pregnancy or know of anyone who has? The lack of data on [[treatment:vimpat:5526c9df1fcaa3c8cb000399]] during human pregnancy scares me a lot.
Thank you.

I have a friend who just started having seizures last year unexpectedly. Neither me or his partner have any idea what is causing them. Being that they are after puberty the seizures don’t qualify as epilepsy and fall in the Seizure dysfunction category. I’ve tried to get him on this site but it’s been a no go. If anyone has any advice or ideas let me know.
What are you trying to accomplish. I to started having seizures late in life. In my mid 30s. If this just started tell him to cover his financial ass. There’s insurance like Aflac, for the house… read more

Don't rush things. Driving on meds is over rated. In 2 months I had a number of fender benders. The meds slow your reaction time to road conditions. I did not realize that till I was able to get off… read more
