I got the majority of the "important" questions answered that i asked my docs. I just forgot to ask, how long it takes for the chunk of skull to heal that they cut? Do they use screws to hold it together? Can you feel the fact your skull has been cut or that there are screws(if there is screws)? I have heard in the past from several friends who have tried many others including surgery, implants or non-medication alternative methods. However, I think it would help if those of you who have to share your experience with those are now at the point where they have been told that medication will never allow them to reach a long-term seizure free state.

I'm going to have the RNS implant in March. And all I want to know is has anyone else had it done and dose it work . I go in March to Vanderbilt medical center in Nashville Tennessee.
My potassium was below a 3 when I 2 back to back. I'm now on 10 Meq's which is 8 pills a day.
I asked a similar question I have had low potassium after seizures. And even prescriptions now given to me.
