Every couple of years I have seizures then my Dr wants to try something new or ups the dosage. The meds I'm on now are making me dizzy and off balance
Lack of sleep is a Trigger, so I go to sleep after 9 AM.

Ive been sacked i have epilepsy was diagnosed over 5 years ago my mental health impacts this I had a stage 4 meeting I wasn’t aware of the time till i came into work today meeting was at half 9 I even cancelled a 4 week sick note to come back in as I had a seizure last weekend what can I do I’ve been in the job 9 years 😩any advise please

Every neurologist I have seen tells me I need surgery to control my seizures. I have temporal lobe epilepsy that causes complex partial seizures. I've been through four different medications and still do not have control over the seizures.

I was told I have Grand Mal and other Seizure Disorders one of them called Pseudoseizures . Anyone else ever hear of this? I'm told it's hard to diagnose and often gone undiagnosed or is missed. My family and I was just grasping the Grand Mal Seizures now there's more to try and sort thru?
I agree especially with MarKC - thanks for reminding me of ' non epileptic seizures' I've also heard of them being called ' pseudoseizures' too
Ive have 9 seizures in the last 2 months while Trileptal and Folic Acid. Is this normal?
ya I have break through all the time time and it makes me not won’t to take my medications
My daughter is 9 and will be starting to wean off her Briviact soon. Has any parent weaned their child? She had been on Keppra, weaned off but developed seizures and had to go back on. Her behavior was really difficult so she changed to Briviact about 2 years ago and she’s been seizure free. We are trying again to wean off and I was hoping to talk to someone who has done this. Thank you!
