Hello
A while back, I had a seizure that caused me to fall on my face and damage my top front teeth. It took sone time, but they’re finally fixed! My dentists and dental assistant are worried about me damaging my teeth again so they made me a custom fit dental guard. The guard is supposed to protect my teeth from grinding as well. They said the guard is optional and that I could wear it for a few hours in the day or in the night while I sleep. However, they keep highly recommending I wear it.… read more
A number of years ago my old dentist 🦷 suggested that I get some braces. First a retainer, that metal was pressing against my gums too much and really hurt. Then things were attached to my back… read more
The light may not exactly flash but it moves along the side, front to back, of your peripheral vision in one of your eyes. Also, does anybody else get it when you change to light or darker settings? For example, If you walked from a brighter to a darker section of a room, or if a large piece of hair suddenly falls near your eyes and blocks light.
I used to see different colors in my left peripheral before my brain surgery took away peripheral vision
I’m a teenager and sometimes I feel like an outcast because I don’t have a license or a car. It just sucks asking for a ride all the time and they get mad at you. It’s just I’m struggling with this so much. I just want to feel like I have some control.

I am 100% positive that hormones are playing a huge factor in both the frequency and intensity of my seizures but I’m not sure where to start to address it. If anyone has any suggestions, PLEASE let me know!
I started with seizures just as I was coming out of menopause at 54. I’m going to be 64 in June. All of my family and friends as well as myself think my epilepsy was brought on by a hormonal change. I… read more

I've got complex partial seizures with identified abnormality in my temporal lobe. Seizures are focal so my neurologist said surgery is an option I should consider, but I'm pretty scared and not sure it is worth it. My seizures aren't very bad and I could still lead a mostly-normal life but I plan to become a doctor and with sleep deprivation being a major trigger for me it may prevent me from pursuing my desire to work in a hospital (which means long hours). Im not sure about the process of… read more

I was wondering when you seek a second or third opinion from a doctor do you tell ,share include all your diagnosis from previous doctors, neurologist .
Should that information be included?
would those previous diagnosis or medical opinions affect the opinion of the new doctor your seeing?
That's what my concern is really is that they will just agree with previous diagnosis.
I have a neurologist of whom I am not fond. However, she is in practice with a man I do like. Is there a gracious way to say I would prefer to see this doctor?
