I'm now 4 weeks post op from VNS...had it turned on 2 weeks ago. So far no problems. I had laryngitis for 2 weeks, but I honestly think it was from surgical swelling. It's better now. VNS was turned… read more
So my birthday is coming up soon and I want to buy some non alcoholic cider. The company says there is 0.5% or less (trace amounts) in each bottle. I take keppra and in the evening clonazepam alongside keppra. Thoughts?
What is the minimum legal age for alcohol consumption where you live? Would you give your thirteen year old child non alcoholic cider to drink knowing that it contains 0.5 percent traces of… read more

Has anyone else been prescribed Ativan? I've noticed it helps tremendously as stress is a huge trigger to my seizures. I noticed it the most at work, it's stressful now and I haven't had a seizure whereas before Ativan I would have. Just wondering if anyone else is taking Ativan as well?
Ativan works well as a rescue med (been taking it for 2 years) but I make sure to not take it more often than what the prescription says. You’re right it can be addictive but only if you let it become… read more
What is the difference between an aura and a petit seizure. When I have an aura in which can last for hours I feel like a riot is going on inside me. People have told me to say something. I don't always have a seizure. I don't want to be the boy that cried wolf all the time.
Thank you everyone for your patience with me. I am new on this on line and I don't know what I'm doing all the time.
Hope and pray everyone has a great day.
Hi ya it s not easy working with epilepsy I take my hat off to all them that do like you say it s when you're I'll and having to take time off bless you never give up ☺️
Sorry ,I'm sure I've already asked this Does anyone find theres a pattern to their seizures I have focal partial seizures with a lot of impairment - clusters for 36 hours eg I will have these on a Monday/ Tuesdays for a few weeks Then they move forward to Wednesday Thursday for another 2 weeks , Friday/Saturday for a month etc I have no stress, anxiety, depression & I'm well past the menopause Confused
Maybe less stress has reduced the seizures. Sertraline for anxiety decreased my seizures. I believe stress plays a huge part on y people have seizures.

I have noticed they are right around my menstrual period. I have cut out alcohol, i always sleep at least 8 hours a night, I have been going therapy and taking anti-anxiety medications for a couple years. Anyone have any other suggestions? I don't think I have the discipline to do the keto diet but I know that's been helpful.… read more
