Every couple of years I have seizures then my Dr wants to try something new or ups the dosage. The meds I'm on now are making me dizzy and off balance
It doesn't matter how much I try paying attention to the conversation. I couldn't tell you everything word for word even if it's just happened. It's like it goes in one ear and out the other. Like following instructions if I've been given 3/4 things to do if I've not written down I would be able to remember 3 & 4 but not 1 & 2
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I am sorry to hear that your family reacts that way. However, you have friends on here, and we can reassure you that you are normal. Epilepsy/Seizure Disorder doesn't make… read more
Those with epilepsy that had children what was your experience like? Did you have to be off your meds? Was it scary? I know I still have lots of time to worry and decide if I even want a family and Ik I can have the conversation with my doctor when the time comes but share your stories
Meds for epilepsy are one of the safest for pregnancy. My son had severe cleft lip & palate cause 40 years ago there weren't. Read my story to see how I know so much bout this. During my pregnancy had… read more

I have heard of this but I am afraid to shell out the money only ro have it not work. I'm waiting for it to be out a little longer so I can hear how well it works. If it works well, I would be more… read more
Hi all. My son recently started seizing (grand mal) again after 4 years of being seizure free. I’m looking to buy him a seizure alert device but wanted to know if anyone has any experience with them. I’m currently looking at My Medic Watch App which connects to a smartphone or the Embrace 2 Watch. Are there any other options out there? Your insight is much appreciated.
Hi Becky. My son started having absent seizures when he was 7. At age 15 he suffered from his first grand mal (this happened after his father’s funeral. He died from congestive heart failure)… read more
So I'm going back to college. I start on August 11th. Here's my deal though. I've been in and out of college since I graduated in 2009 because of Epilepsy problems. I've gone to college three other times already. Also for three different things. Should have stayed with the same track I know but I'm indecisive and I get bored easily. First time I was at the community college, I was there for my AA but I had just found out that I had Epilepsy. My GPA started dropping near the end of a year and a… read more

I have Tonic-Clonic seizures every 2 weeks. I'm 51 and have been having them for 10 years now.
I started microdosing 3/10s of a gram and I still had my seizure every 2 weeks, but I went 4 months without a Tonic-Clonic seizure. https://www.magicmushrooms101.com

Does anyone use a smart watch app to notify caregivers or family members of their seizures? I see there are a few available. The only approved watch is the Embrace 2. I am looking into using a smart watch with a app.
Thanks for the responses. All of the information is very informative. I guess the reason I would ever want someone alerted is if I'm alone or when I finally move back out of my parents house.
Does anyone in the Jacksonville area see Dr. Chabolla? I’ve been waiting for my appt for 2 and 1/2 months and my appt is finally on Friday. I just started having seizures in august, so this is still pretty new. Just wondering if anyone knows him?
Has anyone ever done an Employment quiz for people with a Disability or to be more specific who have epilepsy?
I would have to say no. Never experienced it, nor heard of it.
