I’ve had epilepsy since the age of 2. I’m now close to 50 yrs. Of age
I'm going to have the RNS implant in March. And all I want to know is has anyone else had it done and dose it work . I go in March to Vanderbilt medical center in Nashville Tennessee.
I take Levetiracetam and tomapax in the morning and at 6pm. I have my alarm is set for both times but sometimes I don't here the one in the morning or I take it and I'll forget that I did rather it's in the morning or afternoon. What I am asking is how do you keep track or what are you using to make sure you didn't forget?
I now have a Nurse who is supposed to come in and set them up. I was running low on some that needed new Prescription Refills. Now I have everything I need. Am very capable of setting up meds. I have… read more
When you are asked to take medication in the Morning and Night when Label on the box, would you follow it to 12 Hours between taking it, or what would you think of Various time in the Morning and A Various time at Night? If you didn't have a set 12 Hour Period would you think people would have more Seizures, Because I use to work early at 6am up to Last February, but would take my Medication at 9pm for Night , so this would be over a 12 Hour Period.
Does someone can tell me is this medication anti-Seizure is good ? i need to know cause my daughter is taking lamotrigine and she has still having absent seizures which is scary to me because i have to work and leave her alone at home with 15 years old, her Primary care doctor doesn’t want to help me to filling up for any FLMA or any help and she knows my daughter needs. plus i have no family im by myself with my daughter, no help
Great to hear that you graduated from high school, college and got a good job after all of those challenges!
Missing 1 no but if you keep missing your medication it will cause sezure I look at it medication good sleep water and less stress 😬 you have to put your self first
So I'm self employed in a business that has a lot of leeway to is but even still I'm often effected by my monthly seizures and I only have mine at night and they usually only mess with me a few times a month and those are mostly grouped together. But with that being said I can still see where having a regular 40 hour a week job would be a nightmare for me. My depression can come and go really bad at times, the nights that I do have issues are random and I'd probably have to call off a lot of… read more

It’s simply tough. When and if I have sex I go less than a minute. If I cannot straight up fix it up I’d like a recommendation for the best thing I can do.
The best best way to get rid of a side effect your Primary Physician can help you with the side effects as well as your Neurologist, like change your medications again an again like they did with me… read more
Hello! I could not find any answers to this topic. Do you all find that you generally need more sleep than others? I know everyone is different, but I find that I usually need 8+hours of sleep daily. I am very diligent about getting enough sleep as that is one of my main triggers. On the weekends, I can easily sleep for 9+ hours. Is anyone else like this?
I would say yes, I’m the same way in that I need about 8 hours on a regular schedule in order to function normally, and without it I’ve been more prone to seizures. But I purposely plan and keep to… read more
I have or had 53 nieces and nephews at one time or another but now I can only remember about 15 and that is a real strain for me just thinking about who they are?
