Will epilepsy watches like embrace and epilert work for secondary generalized seizures
I do know someone had wristband on and they were just tying their shoelaces and the wristband told them they were having a seizure. It sounds like any wristband can't tell the difference between… read more
Every couple of years I have seizures then my Dr wants to try something new or ups the dosage. The meds I'm on now are making me dizzy and off balance
Will it set off with excessive motion.
I have heard of this but I am afraid to shell out the money only ro have it not work. I'm waiting for it to be out a little longer so I can hear how well it works. If it works well, I would be more… read more
Something some said got to me. Not all forms of epilepsy make tou loose consciensness. I am always alart and and aware of several of my triggers. My sezuires are either absent, mind staring or simple/conplex jerks (like a cold chill).
I have complex partial seizures. My neurologist and I have talked about my license as I have brought it up. He sees no reason to revoke my license and my diagnosis does not require them to be.
Anyone else still have their license?
I still have mine but I'm not allowed to drive for 6 months after I've had a sz. Just had a major one that sent me to the hospital and required stitches above my right eye.
Ok I have read a lot of posts and comments of people who were injured and diagnosed with epilepsy
OR those that were diagnosed in there teens or 200
What I would be interested in is how many on this site were born with epilepsy OR diagnosed before the age of 10 years old.... parent or kid or family member
I ask this because it because I find for me anyway that I have been able to accept it easier
Hey! I know it sucks I was born with it and just turned 32. You got this though!!! Just rock it like its something to be jealous of and be positive! I have faith in you!
I’m a teenager and sometimes I feel like an outcast because I don’t have a license or a car. It just sucks asking for a ride all the time and they get mad at you. It’s just I’m struggling with this so much. I just want to feel like I have some control.
I was told I have Grand Mal and other Seizure Disorders one of them called Pseudoseizures . Anyone else ever hear of this? I'm told it's hard to diagnose and often gone undiagnosed or is missed. My family and I was just grasping the Grand Mal Seizures now there's more to try and sort thru?
I agree especially with MarKC - thanks for reminding me of ' non epileptic seizures' I've also heard of them being called ' pseudoseizures' too
Do you guys drive?
Losing the right or ability to drive is not only hard it just down right sucks! It is a means to independence. I haven’t driven in almost 9 years and I hate every minute. Having said that I look at… read more
