I do know someone had wristband on and they were just tying their shoelaces and the wristband told them they were having a seizure. It sounds like any wristband can't tell the difference between… read more

Theyve been trying to get me to get epilepsy brain surgery for years the older I get the more I'm considering it as I'm seeing how it's affecting my life as an adult. I just want to hear other people who have already done it experiences so I know what I'm getting into. Did it completely cure you? Did your seizures get worse? Any mental changes in personality or mood? How painful was it? Etc.

Days after a seizure?
People need to tell me if I have a seizure too. However, I have been blessed to now be 9 months seizure-free. God has performed miracles to keep me alive and now has performed a blessing such that I… read more
I've been taking Keppra for almost 8 years now and off and on I've experienced unsightly fluid retention in the legs and stomach. I've never thought to associate the two previously but in the warmer months it gets pretty bad.
I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar while taking Keppra or perhaps I just have a predisposition to fluid retention....
If you have experienced it how have you managed it?
I was told I have Grand Mal and other Seizure Disorders one of them called Pseudoseizures . Anyone else ever hear of this? I'm told it's hard to diagnose and often gone undiagnosed or is missed. My family and I was just grasping the Grand Mal Seizures now there's more to try and sort thru?
I agree especially with MarKC - thanks for reminding me of ' non epileptic seizures' I've also heard of them being called ' pseudoseizures' too
I'm in the proces of applying for HCPC registration and I need to declare about having epilepsy and my relatively recent seizures - will this impact me getting my registration?
Occupational health have previously advised no lone-working, which would impact my work immensely! Anyone have similar experiences?
Epilepsy eventually took my career from me and more but it has given me some things in return.
So I'm going back to college. I start on August 11th. Here's my deal though. I've been in and out of college since I graduated in 2009 because of Epilepsy problems. I've gone to college three other times already. Also for three different things. Should have stayed with the same track I know but I'm indecisive and I get bored easily. First time I was at the community college, I was there for my AA but I had just found out that I had Epilepsy. My GPA started dropping near the end of a year and a… read more
