Every couple of years I have seizures then my Dr wants to try something new or ups the dosage. The meds I'm on now are making me dizzy and off balance

As a child, I took Phenobarbital at night, and Tridione in the daytime. Anyone else heard of this? My new Dr.'s give me funny looks, but I know what I was taking. I was 17 when I stopped taking it.
I take 145 mg of phenobarbital.
116 at night
On it 29 years
How come every time I start a new job within the first 1 to 3 days I start having multiple focal seizures and it affects my work but when I am home not working it will be fine my focal seizures will be gone
The stress ï now have too much in my mind. Take it one day at a time
I love listening to music and i have a few songs i listen to when it's a bad day. I'm looking for some newer ones if anyone has one.

Has anyone herd of a infant of 14 days old start with seizures and they were so severe they damaged the brain and at 29 days Sally Lynn died. The seizures were resistant to Pentobarbitol, phenobarbital, Kepra, kedamine, fentonal, and Topamax. She was on all of these at one time and finally they were putting in a new arterial line and she died 1.5 hours later. Has anyone herd of this?

Theyve been trying to get me to get epilepsy brain surgery for years the older I get the more I'm considering it as I'm seeing how it's affecting my life as an adult. I just want to hear other people who have already done it experiences so I know what I'm getting into. Did it completely cure you? Did your seizures get worse? Any mental changes in personality or mood? How painful was it? Etc.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member mine was so long ago I forgot about the puffy eyes. I had that as well. You have the same triggers as me
Does anyone know if 200mg 2x day is a high dose? I mean I could ask my neurologist. Just curious.
I take 1 200 in morning 2 at night and mind are brand name and never had problem but came sz free goning on 25 yrs as also take Tegretol 400mg 1 in morning 1 at night same time brand name
I have seen 3 consultant's over the past 30 years who explained I had epilepsy put me on the right medication great and worked no problem. But the new constitution said I didn't have epilepsy and cut all my medication down rapidly and I ended up in another hospital with no uses of my one side fitting and put on oxygen and very high blood pressure and other things and scared out my head as well as my family all because she wanted to take all tablets off me I did not have any form of epilepsy so… read more
