A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member

I was 58. Took 4 years to diagnose. I still believe it’s hormonal for me. I am followed by Mayo and they have no real answers. I’m refractory (drug resistant). Just woke up with it one day. 🤷‍♀️

If You Had Resection Surgery Can You Answer These Please?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I got the majority of the "important" questions answered that i asked my docs. I just forgot to ask, how long it takes for the chunk of skull to heal that they cut? Do they use screws to hold it together? Can you feel the fact your skull has been cut or that there are screws(if there is screws)? If anyone has has a resection, do you know a rough estimate what the answers would be? I know i can always ask the day of surgery for more exact answers, i just kinda want to go into knowing ahead of… read more

Anyone Having Positive Results Microdosing?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have Tonic-Clonic seizures every 2 weeks. I'm 51 and have been having them for 10 years now.
I started microdosing 3/10s of a gram and I still had my seizure every 2 weeks, but I went 4 months without a Tonic-Clonic seizure. https://www.magicmushrooms101.com

Has Anyone Heard Of Pseudo Seizures?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was told I have Grand Mal and other Seizure Disorders one of them called Pseudoseizures . Anyone else ever hear of this? I'm told it's hard to diagnose and often gone undiagnosed or is missed. My family and I was just grasping the Grand Mal Seizures now there's more to try and sort thru?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member

I agree especially with MarKC - thanks for reminding me of ' non epileptic seizures' I've also heard of them being called ' pseudoseizures' too

Anyone Ever Have Epilepsy Brain Surgery? Can You Share Your Experience?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Theyve been trying to get me to get epilepsy brain surgery for years the older I get the more I'm considering it as I'm seeing how it's affecting my life as an adult. I just want to hear other people who have already done it experiences so I know what I'm getting into. Did it completely cure you? Did your seizures get worse? Any mental changes in personality or mood? How painful was it? Etc.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member mine was so long ago I forgot about the puffy eyes. I had that as well. You have the same triggers as me

Husband Threatens To Leave
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Ok I know this sounds more like something for dear Abby but...I have 2 children ages 12 and 9. My husband has been threatening to leave since we got married. (11 years ago) He says he could do better. He should've left a long time ago. I'm the reason he has no friends. Umm... the only thing my children are going to remember of me is how much I sleep (Combo of working full time and tons of meds). Etc. He has said if we get divorced he'd take full custody of the kids because I have epilepsy so I'm… read more
