Every couple of years I have seizures then my Dr wants to try something new or ups the dosage. The meds I'm on now are making me dizzy and off balance
I’ve had a few like that, but not very often. It’s when I’ve been stressed and lack of sleep happening. I try to avoid that because those will impact me for days. Hope you recover soon.
Will it set off with excessive motion.
I have heard of this but I am afraid to shell out the money only ro have it not work. I'm waiting for it to be out a little longer so I can hear how well it works. If it works well, I would be more… read more

I have noticed, that when I'm in certain environments when the people know I have epilepsy, they tend to treat me like they know what's best for me when they know a lot less about epilepsy. Or that I can't do a lot of things that I know I can do. And no matter how hard I try to tell them it's ok, that I can still live a life doing things I want to do cause my dr told me to do anything that I think I can they gave me no limitations except for driving. As They want me to push my boundaries to see… read more
I have had the same when one would happen away from home.
I was told I have Grand Mal and other Seizure Disorders one of them called Pseudoseizures . Anyone else ever hear of this? I'm told it's hard to diagnose and often gone undiagnosed or is missed. My family and I was just grasping the Grand Mal Seizures now there's more to try and sort thru?
I agree especially with MarKC - thanks for reminding me of ' non epileptic seizures' I've also heard of them being called ' pseudoseizures' too

My 5 year old daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy last year. She's been having seizures every 1-2 months since then. But when she has a seizure, it never stops on its own. Every time, she has to go to the hospital and receive diazepam injection. Is there any other person with similar conditions? Will it get worse with time? I'm so worried.
I've never dealt with a kid with epilepsy just myself. See if her doctor would give you a concentrate (liquid) RX of diazapam or lorazapam and educate you on the dosages for her seizures. It can go… read more

So I'm going back to college. I start on August 11th. Here's my deal though. I've been in and out of college since I graduated in 2009 because of Epilepsy problems. I've gone to college three other times already. Also for three different things. Should have stayed with the same track I know but I'm indecisive and I get bored easily. First time I was at the community college, I was there for my AA but I had just found out that I had Epilepsy. My GPA started dropping near the end of a year and a… read more
