My husband suddenly started having grand mal seizures about 6 years ago completely out of the blue and was diagnosed with epilepsy about 6 months after his first cluster of seizures. He was young (27) fit and healthy and strong as he is a farmer, since the epilepsy began he has changed in almost every way... can anyone else relate?
I can’t relate , since I had Epilepsy almost my whole life. But, there is a possibility , that his seizures or medication side effects, or both are causing his personality change
I used to have back problems where it would hurt to even move, so I just had to lay down until I wasn't in so much pain, but ever since I was diagnosed with epilepsy after I have a seizure my back pain is a lot worse. Sometimes I get back pains even when I haven't had a seizure. And unfortunately I have tried every single pain medication there is and none of them help me at all
Bright side is I was alone and just went through it. Sometimes I do need some drugs to stop them.
My 18 year old son has been having lower back pain. This morning he had a seizure and once he came out of it he was in extreme pain in his lower back. I’m sure the convulsions caused his muscles to stiffen up or twist. I’m not sure if this lower back pain is common in people with epilepsy or if it was caused by something else.

I can always tell when I have a seizure because it feels like I was rubbing my eyes on the carpet. It normally feels like this all day. Does this happen to anyone else? Does anyone know why this happens?
I can tell I've had a nocturnal seizure in part because my eyes feel grainy. I think they probably dry out from being open, even though I don't recall the episode.

I would have to say that a letter from your doctor will most likely be necessary. There are a few more steps in the process of getting disability for epilepsy. You are going to have to find from… read more
I have sharp pains that hit me in my temples. Does anyone else have this pain and what do you do for it. I am 65 and had seizures since 13 years of age. This pain just started about 2 years ago. My neurologist gave me a antiflmatory but it does not help. Some times it wakes me up. The pain in my head is horrible.
Pain meds can cause constipation also.
