Your neurologist may have to sign off to allow you to drive. But as stated above, rules of DMVs vary state to state.

For me, it was an agreement between myself and the epileptologist. I gave him the date of the seizure then he told me, "If you wait six months, I'll back you up if you have an accident after that. If you try sooner and have an accident, you're on your own. I won't say you had my approval."

Here in Nevada for every witnessed seizure it is year you can't drive hence myself not driving in around seven years
