How To Deal With Seizures Where You Foam At The Mouth?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I just had a really bad seizure after seeing a flashing light because my seizures are photosensitive. For the first time I had a seizure where I foamed at the mouth and I may have vomitted. My chest felt numb. I could still speak during the seizure which usually happens with my seizures as does choking. I have a bad headache now.

I recommend to always be on your side. This allows for the airway to be open. If you can, place a pillow behind and in front of you, so you remain on your side. Try to remove anything else from your surrounding (other pillows, objects, or a heavy comforter). I did this all, because I made it through 2 grand mals on my own.

I already notified my doctors about what happened. I was told to speak to a new neurologist. My PCP just said go to an epilepsy specialist.
