I too was put on clobazam before it was approved by the FDA, and it made all the difference for my epilepsy. I went from coming home from the hospital after having a grand mal, to my Dr raising the dose, to no seizures for 9 years. Remember that’s one person’s story, and that not everyone is helped by every med. I hope it helps you.

I am pleased that unless I do not pay attention to my triggers, there are no problems. Not getting good quality sleep. not eating enough or properly, in my case being overheated are triggers. So is stress. I was told that though the Temporal Lobectomy did not do away with them, a problem on the left (my dominant side) avoided much damage.

I was put on Onfi (Clobzam) before it had been approved by the FDA. I do not remember what I was taking before. I was being treated for Breast Cancer, but that medication made the Chemotherapy and Radiation not work. An Epileptologist said it would work. To get it I needed to get it from another country, because it was not approved by the FDA yet. It was also sent by mail. When it was approved, my Insurance covered it.
