A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Why is it when I have seizures I tend to not sleep well but my body is so tired and needs sleep?

The best for this would be good meditation .I’ve had my epilepsy for 25 years and I’ve been meditating every night that really helps me relax and have a good sleep as well 👍

Well in my case Iv had epilepsy for 26 years now. And when I have one I always feel tired afterwards. But sometimes not all the time I can't sleep myself. But this is what I do. I pray to my Lord above who I put my trust in. And then listen to some gospel music. But here recently I have been waking up during the night. And looking at my watch . But most of the time after a seizure I just pass out .but it don't keep me from going back to sleep. Cause my Lord helps me stay a sleep amen.

Hi folks, I am on Lamotrigine, zonicimide, and Gabepentin. Forgive the spelling as I’m not setting in front of the med bottles. I have been on these for the last two years and I am capped out on the dosage. I am now looking at options other than medication.
