Medication Containing Psysudafaden And Or Phenylephrine (decongestants)?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

How dangerous is it to take medicine containing Psysudafaden and or Phenylephrine (decongestants)? I took 1 Mucinex D to relieve sinus pressure from covid. Feeling confident one dose isn't going to lower my seizure threshold dangerously but am curious what experience others have with this.

Agree with John the Pharmacist knows that is his job. My neurologist have even told me to check with pharmacist if they are unavailable.

It is best to talk to your pharmacist (who has your updated list of medications) to know whether it is safe to take it or not.
