@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member, you’re right we shouldn’t let our seizures get to us. It can cause stress, which is one of the basic triggers leading to a seizure.
I have Complex Partial Seizures. So unless someone is near me to witness, I don’t always know if I seizured, plus they are short ( 25-60 secs ) . Sometimes, I would notice my body reacting to a seizure. I may notice my hand shaking, as if I was needing a cigarette ( 8 don’t Smoke ) and somtimes I would notice my heart racing , as if I was in a Marathon. But most of the time I don’t get those clues. The only other thing I get, that I notice are blackouts. I know that it’s a seizure, because of my EEG I had last year. I ask the Dr. to let me know, if my blackouts were seizures or med side effects.
The majority of the time, I’m positive and upbeat. I just take it one day at a time.
Hj, Randy I've mostly suffered with simple partial seizures, but I say the more you think about them it may lead to having one, so I always put it behind me and look forward to the future, I say the way you think will help how you feel, Take care.
I have Partial onset Seizures, and I don't have bladder leaks when I have Seizures. I have been on Briviact 100MG for awhile, and I just had 2 Seizures last weekend, and the only thing that I know of that probably triggered it was stress.
There are 2 seizure types to Onset Partial Seizures.
1. Simple Partial Seizures . Your still aware when seizuring.
2. Complex Partial Seizures. You are unaware that your seizuring.
I can explain how I know its true, cause today I was on the phone talking about it about my epilepsy and as soon I put the phone down I had one, being my first one during the day for few weeks. So remember "the way you think is the way you feel.
