Does Anyone See Black Spots And Experience Blurry Vision After A Seizure? Partial Or Grandmal.
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

After a seizure I see floating black spots and blurry vision. Is this normal? I get grandmal and partial seizures. Anyone experience the same? Why is this happening?

Yes, I have had the same. I think the “floaters” as the black spots are sometimes called, and the blurry vision might both have to do with the optic nerve coming back on track. It could also have to do with the blood pressure becoming normal again. Have you asked your Dr?

Yes I do , right before a seizure has happened to me several times eats ringing and small black spots. Does not happen every time but has happened quite a few times. I was on levetiracetam , oxcarzipine, lamotrigine at the time. Now not on lamotrigine and have the RNS dont see black spots near as much.
