Has Anyone Seen Data That Relates Seizure Meds To Area Of Brain Where Seizures Occur?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was told by Neurologist that reason for wanting EEG record of seizure so that the area of the brain can be identified. The applicable meds can then be prescribed. If this is true, then where might one find such information?

The medications used are based upon of the types of seizures that they try.

Identifying the origin points of your seizures are for possible alternative treatments and the choice to have a surgery if they are starting in the same location.

NOTE: Just remember, doctors, advised, interpret scans and testing, etc., BUT you decide whether it will be done on you (or your child if you are a parent)
