Working with epilepsy sometimes can be hard. Do you think if there were accommodations for individuals with disorders or just epilepsy, would that be helpful in accomodating you needs? Working from home, more online work, shorter hours, or can you think of anything that would be useful for accomodating your needs that would help you keep working?
Its cold/winter here now in Australia! Our first drop of sleet was last Wednesday & the pathology nurses tried to take 8 tubes of blood from me & I started laughing as nothing was happening! So she went & got the boss & the marks she has made is the worse I have ever had from a pathology nurse!
More frequent breaks especially in the summer time, accommodations that that can help you avoid side effects from your medications yet it can vary from person to person, modifying the work load to suit your needs, and make sure you are getting paid correctly. Because a small hand full of dirty companies want to rip us off to help their bottom dollar.
Join the club … I have epilepsy & Im not even allowed to do volunteer work now as my ride side, stroke side id getting worse! But at least I can do knitting & crochet by feel!!
I had to stop working because of memory loss. As I get older, the memory issues after a seizure are getting worse.
