Brain Tumor And Epilepsy
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Anyone else with a brain tumor trying to control seizures? I have my second tumor, now in right frontal lobe, operculum and insula. Probably, but not certein, it is a LEAT tumor. Epilepsy came slowly last year and has exploded this spring. I know have focal seizures, often in clusters, every day. Have tried different combos and are now trying Vimpat and Lamictal. Any adults with a LEAT tumor and successful treatment?

Thanks, I was thinking about the epileptic part. LEAT tumors are known for being medication resistant so I was looking fo someone who has succeded. Sorry to hear you also have an unoperable tumor. Hope it stays still or grow very slowly.

I have Epilepsy myself, though I found out that I also have a Calcified Meningioma(possible). It was discovered after I was scanned for something else. I have it on the Left Sphenoid Wing - which as far as I know, it is in a position that no Neurosurgeon in their right mind would attempt to remove it(that was what I had been told anyway). You know what is right for yourself. Both you and maybe a friend or family member could work with your specialist to decide what is right for you?
