Has anyone have any serious issues with VNS surgery. I already had a previous RNS type of surgery but this time they offered VNS and worried. I actual started working a second full time job to keep a reason to delay. What do you think?

Has anyone had VNS surgery and how long does it take to slow down your seizures or even stop them. I am planning to get that surgery but afraid if it doesn't help it will still be on the biggest nerve of my body. I workout, jog and have jobs I have to pick up heavy things. Can anyone please help. The regular scripts I take are Brivaracteram & Lacosamide which I don't have much faith in. Previously I've stopped taking Lamictal, Perampanel and a few others because I've recognised that those medications weren't helping
I'm disappointed that Doctors, Neurologists are still prescribing medications to people while knowing that they do not know if the medication will work for the person who they are prescribing it to, and that it's dangerous to stop taking an anti-seizure medication due toā¦ read more
The thing/issue about medicines is that there is more information + statistics about all the medications out there and the info. is all available to the doctors. Regarding alternative medications suchā¦ read more
I am taking 3000 mg of Keppra and 450mg of Oxcarbazepine per day. Is there anything to reduce the side effects of these medications? I will do some research and share what I find out. Thank you
